Responsibilities:
A veterinary technician provides animal care by determining animal requirements; conducting diagnostic procedures; assisting during operations; feeding and caring for animals; maintaining supplies and equipment; maintaining records.

Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet.
Ensuring that clients and pets feel welcome and comfortable Training, supervising, and assisting technicians in their performance of a variety of technical and client education duties.
Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Conducting timely performance evaluations, mediate interpersonal problems and address concerns Making recommendations to the practice manager concerning personnel matters and assist with follow through of disciplinary actions.
Assisting veterinarians to provide compassionate nursing care Performing cursory exams and prepping animals for aseptic surgery Monitoring anesthetic patients Cleaning, maintaining, and preparing surgical instruments and equipment Maintaining accurate medical records Filling prescriptions as directed by a veterinarian, and explaining prescription directions Assisting receptionists with check-in and checkout procedures and providing telephone support Performing various laboratory tests Suggesting dietary products and other services to clients Keeping our facilities clean and well maintained Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of Animal Behavior Animal Husbandry Documentation Skills Analyzing Information Clinical Skills Creating a Safe, Effective Environment Performing Diagnostic Procedures Use of Medical Technologies Attention to Detail Patience Verbal Communication Registered veterinary technicians (RVTs) must obtain state-issued credentials, which requires passing the VTNE & graduating from an accredited program with an associate degree Job Type:
